In the beginning of 2001, the S+C-Group started their new Schmidt+Clemens Asia Sdn.Bhd. subsidiary in Shah Alam, Malaysia. The new family member - specialized in centricast material fabrication - is entirely integrated into the group's global production network. To its customers in Asia, the new company offers hereby the entire scope of S+C's products and services as a partner to petrochemistry and other companies in the chemical industry.
In order to guarantee the new company to meet the S+C-Group's stringent quality standards already in the start-up phase, Schmidt+Clemens Asia Sdn.Bhd. will be built-up in several phases. During the initial phase, S+C Asia offers the final fabrication of tube systems based on prefabricated centricast tubes and fittings out of the European S+C plants in Germany and Spain. This also includes comprehensive welding services which are certified according to ASME section 9 as well as DIN EN 287-1, offering fabrication of complete furnace systems, installation of spare parts on-site and welding of aged materials.
In the next phases Schmidt+Clemens Asia Sdn.Bhd. will be enabled to offer the full scope of high skilled manufacturing techniques like melting, casting and machining of extremely difficult materials.
The realization of this challenge, which is unique within Malaysia, will be executed again under strong supervision and monitoring by German and Spanish experts.
Due to strong involvement of European quality specialists and intensiv training programs as well as some internal preaudits, it was possible to achieve the first external quality certification within shortest time.
Since December 2001, Schmidt+Clemens Asia Sdn.Bhd. is certified according to ISO 9002:1994 which proves the entire integration into the high qualification standards of all production sites within the S+C-Group. Besides the final fabrication of centricast tube systems,
S+C Asia also offers the entire scope of services of the S+C-Group. This includes services for plant evaluation, systematical monitoring of tube systems as well as on-site supervision for plant maintenance and installation of spare parts as well as erection of new plants.
